Welcome to the Staten Island Perimeter ride! The Staten Island route will take us along greenways, through industrial areas, and along neighborhood streets, from newer communities to older enclaves. You can earn a Perimeter Patch by completing all five borough perimeter rides.
The route is approx. 42 miles, mostly flat with low-grade elevations. We will meetup in the cyclist waiting area of Whitehall Terminal at 9:45am and take the 10:00am ferry.
We'll make a second stop at the Staten Island Borough Hall at 10:30am to pickup anyone who didn't take the ferry.
This is an Advanced pace ride, so please be able to maintain a pace of 15 mph on the flats.
Given the distance, we're limiting the number of capacity to fifteen riders so that we can keep a steady urban pace and ride together as a group. We also ask that if you have completed the Staten Island perimeter ride to please give others who have not and would like to earn a patch the opportunity to do so. Finally, only sign up if you can complete the ride. If you choose to leave the ride; you will not receive credit.
Please unregister if you are unable to make the ride so waitlisted folks can take the spot. If you are waitlisted, you will receive an email notifying you to register for the ride using the link within the email. You are not automatically bumped up to the ride from the waitlist if a spot becomes available.
