Today we’re taking the 9:30AM ferry to Staten Island. Then ride there to the Bayonne Bridge. Though it’s a relatively short distance of cycling, there will be some busy traffic and at least two climbs along the way. Once we’re there, the ride ends. Options include visiting the city proper, seeing public street art, have a meal or two at the local deli, then taking the NJT Light rail ($2.25) to Hoboken & PATH ($2.75) to Manhattan. For those who want more, Jim will be pedaling thirteen additional miles from Bayonne 8th Street Station to Jersey City PATH Exchange Place. Predictions are for a sunny clear day and we should have good views of the harbor from Liberty State Park.
