It is time for the annual Westport - Bethel Loop. We will be traversing through various parts of southern Connecticut, on mostly quiet and scenic roads. We will ride at an Advanced pace of 15 - 17 mph on the flats. This is a climbing ride! Elevation is estimated at 3,100+ according to RWGPS.

For this year’s edition, we will be scouting an alternative to the unpleasant 12 miles we have spent in the past on Black Rock Turnpike that should take us onto calmer roads. The overall distance for the ride is the same as in past years.
Lunch will be at mile 22 in Bethel, as it has always been.
The ride will start and end at the Westport train station. The Metro North schedule for June is not available yet, but in the past we have started the ride at 9:30. (I will update the ride description with the train schedule when it is released.) We also encourage you to use the restrooms on the train in the event the restrooms at the station are not open.
Please bring snacks to keep you fortified before lunch. Make sure your bike is in good working condition before leaving home in the morning. Bring a spare tube, two water bottles, sunscreen and a good attitude.
