Hunts Point - Landin Mac & Cheese - NEW DATE
About this event

Hunts Point used to be one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in America. The area was dotted with mansions. There were fox hunts. And slaves were common for the wealthier families. The decline came rapidly - and Hunts Point developed a different sort of reputation. But, if you know where to look, traces of the past remain. In this ride - we discover some of these locations - the Sunny Slope Mansion, a Cass Gilbert Train Station, and the Slaves Burial Ground.
Lunch is at Landin Mac & Cheese - a tiny hole in the wall restaurant in the Melrose Section of the Bronx. Likely the best mac & cheese you will ever eat.
This is a 23 mile Moderate Pace Ride - but we will be making various stops a places of interest in the area. Total elevation is 750 feet. It is essential that you bring a decent lock. The ride begins and ends at Columbus Circle. Capacity is pegged at 15 as Landin Mac n Cheese is tiny.
