This ride goes through historic Cranbury, NJ, one of the oldest NJ colonial towns dating to 1697, and then circles around to the east on small roads. We can bicycle on quiet roads as we go through Pigeon Swamp state park. Then we ride through some small towns, the biggest being Jamesburg, just short of mile 21, with a population of about 6,000. There, we can choose from a few places to eat. Or save our appetite for when we pass through Cranbury, about mile 34. Some good choices there are Teddy's Luncheonette, (a favorite) or Cranbury Pizza, Leave room for dessert at Gil and Bert's ice cream.
You can take a car or train to get to the start of this ride. All day paid parking is available, for a few dollars at the train station. The train station where we will meet is Princeton Junction. Please arrive on or before the 10:27 am train. That train leaves Penn Station at 9:14 am. (Note, when getting off the train, please go through the pedestrian tunnel to meet on the other side)
