Ride also features the car-free Putnam Trail, gorgeous views from a lake shore road, and a visit to the best ice cream north of the Croton River.

Ride starts in Van Cortlandt Park, distance is 37 miles, and cruising speed is 12-14 mph. Bring or buy lunch. Train fare is $11.25 for return from Croton-Harmon to GCT.
