Due to rain this ride on the original October 29th date was rescheduled.

This is the autumn edition of a 5BBC favorite. We will starting in Goldens Bridge and exploring Cross River, Katonah, Pound Ridge Reservation, Bedford Hills and circling back to Goldens Bridge. We will keep the pace at an upper moderate (13-15mph on flats) with a little over 2000ft of climbing on this 40 mile trip. There are some challenging climbs on this ride so if you are not comfortable shifting down, this may not be the ride for you. For those who want a scenic adventure outside the City, this will be a rewarding day.

We will have lunch in Katonah at mile 23, so bring pocket food and snacks to keep you fortified.

We will meet at Goldens Bridge at 9:30 am. If you’re arriving via Metro North, the November schedule is not available yet, but for September, there is a train departing Grand Central at 8:09 am, arriving at 9:24 am. We will notify you if the schedule changes before the ride. For those driving, please park in the Goldens Bridge Railroad Avenue station parking lot (on the West side) and be ready to go when the train folks arrive.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. All riders should come with a bike in good working condition with properly inflated tires before leaving home in the morning. Please bring a spare tube and tire levers, sunscreen, snacks, full water bottles. Additionally be familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
