We've been invited by our friends at the NYC Mountain Bike Assn and the Freshkills Park Alliance to participate in their 4th annual Great Gobbler Ride. Explore the awesomeness of Staten Island's reclaimed Freshkills Park on this 14 mile gravel route through hills and valleys. You won't believe that you're in NYC. This is a rare opportunity to see the park as it's usually closed to the public.

You're welcome to ride the loop as many times as you wish, though not meant for skinny tires or the faint of heart.

Bring plenty of food and water. Dress warmly. We're going to catch the 9:00 ferry so get there early.

We won't be biking fast, but it's 9 hilly miles from the ferry to Freshkills Park. And lots of elevation in Freshkills!! So, we're listing it as an Advanced Ride.
