Ocean Breezes Along Jones Beach - Will be Rerouted to Korean Food with City Views
About this event

Join us on this very popular 5BBC club ride along the Atlantic. Starting at Cedar Creek Park in Wantagh, we will ride the Wantagh Bike Pathway to the bike/pedestrian trail of the Ocean Parkway Coastal Greenway on Jones Beach Island to Captree State Park. We will enjoy the wonderful nature of sky, sea, and sand, riding by Tobay Beach and Gilgo Beach. We will stop for lunch at Captree State Park. The ride is entirely on car-free bike paths.
We will be meeting at Cedar Creek Park, about one mile from the Wantagh LIRR station. If you drive out to Cedar Creek Park, go to parking lot #5 and we will meet by the bike statue at the start of the bike path. There may be a charge for parking.
This ride is moderate with a distance of 38 miles, pace of 12 mph, and little elevation. We are hoping for mild headwinds but the winds can be strong at times.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order. Please bring your helmet (mandatory), mask, spare tube, sunscreen and hydration.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS RIDE WILL BE RESCHEDULED TO END OF AUGUST BECAUSE OF CHANCE OF T STORMS IN LONG ISLAND
We will be going to our favorite food destination Korean! City views will be the highlight as we make our way through NYC Waterways
This ride will start at Grand Army Plaza @ 10:30 am - Sunday Aug 2
