Rockefeller State Park Preserve: A Bike & Hike Adventure
About this event

Why settle for just one adventure when you can have two? We’ll roll out for a 45-mile round trip on the South County Trailways, then swap cleats for boots to hike one of Rockefeller State Park Preserve’s beautiful trails. Which one? We’ll decide when we get there.
Bring your camera, because this might be our last chance to capture those fiery fall colors before they fade. Once we’ve worked up an appetite, we’ll head into Pleasantville for lunch—Jean-Jacques is a favorite, but there are plenty of tasty options if you want to branch out. Then, with weary feet and happy bellies, we will pedal our way back to Van Cortlandt Park to wrap up a perfect fall day.
This will be a Moderate-pace ride, so please be able to maintain at least 12 mph on the flats. Bring the essentials for your bike—especially if you ride with disc brakes—including a hand pump or CO2 cartridges, patches, two tubes, tools to fix a flat, water bottles, and snacks. And don’t forget to do a quick 2-Minute Bike Check the night before.
