Well, we won't go over that mountain. We'll go up it and then come back down but if our luck is golden, so might be the leaves as we ride the four miles from Bear Mtn. Lodge to the top of the mountain. Although famously daunting, the climb is completely doable with some determination and the view is spectacular. We will start from the Garrison Metro North station at 10:00. There is an 8:38 am from Grand Central that gets to Garrison at 9:52. After the mountain, we will take the paved Jones Point Bike Path, stop in Haverstraw for some lunch and then take the unpaved Haverstraw River Trail to Nyack. The unpaved portion is completely doable on skinny tires. From Nyack, we'll go over the Cuomo Zee Bridge to the Tarrytown Metro North station to catch a train back to Grand Central. This ride starts and ends at different places but if you drive, you can get a train from Tarrytown back to Garrison to pick up your car. We are limiting the ride to ten because we would like to ride as a group.

This is a moderate ride and we'll all be going up the mountain at a lot less the 12mph, however we will be keeping closer to 15 than 12 mph on the flats.

Bring the usual water, snacks, spare tube, method of inflation and sense of adventure.
