The Volunteer Committee (Janice Fortune, Lois Joyce and Mary Paul) is looking for a few volunteer members to promote the Club at the 5BBC table at the New York Bicycle Jumble on Saturday, September 13, near the Old Stone House, Fifth Ave & 4th St, in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
The Bicycle Jumble is like a giant bike flea market. Vendors sell new and used bikes, new and used bicycle accessories, bike clothing and gear, and anything else bicycle-related. http://www.nybikejumble.com/
The 5BBC will have a table there and we need volunteers who will chat with people attending the Jumble, explain what the Club is, how our rides operate, highlight upcoming rides, promote club memberships and have people sign up for our mailing list. This is a great opportunity to promote the Club.
We anticipate setting up a table at about 9:00 a.m. and packing up by 4:00 p.m. The Jumble opens at 10:00 and we need members who can take a couple hours to be Club ambassadors who explain the Club to visitors attending the Jumble and encourage visitors to join the Club.
To volunteer:
- Confirm that you are logged in.

- Click the "Volunteer" button on the right (on a laptop) or at the bottom of the screen (on a smart phone)
- Click the "Signup Myself" link.
- Check the time slot(s) you when you can help, and double check that your name and preferred email and phone number are correct.
- Click the "Add This Volunteer" button.
- Click the "I’m Done Adding Volunteers" button. Then click the confirm button. You should receive a confirmation email within a few minutes.

As the Jumble wraps up around 4:00 pm, we'll need to pack up and carry a table, banner and supplies for about 2 blocks and/or load them into a car.
