About this event

This is a shorter variation on a ride developed by route scholar, Bill Mastro. Parts of the ride are quite scenic with some outrageous homes It is 37 very flat miles with only 423 feet of elevation gain and no grade greater than 1.6% according to RWGPS. This will be an Upper Moderate ride where you need to maintain 14mph on flats. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore.
There is a LIRR train arriving at the Country Life Press station at 10:15 AM.

Lunch will be at Mitchell's Diner in Valley Stream at mile 24.6, two-thirds into the ride, so bring snacks to keep you fortified.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: If you no longer can make the ride after registering, please 'unregister' so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. All riders should come equipped with a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
