Rockin to Rockaway - End of Summer Loop by the Ocean

No plans for Labor Day Weekend? Join us as we loop to Rockaway to say goodbye to summer (boo hoo) and enjoy a loop through Howard Beach into Rockaway, down the boardwalk, taking in the ocean views, and looping back to Brooklyn.
Mara's (homemade) ice cream will be our summer treat on the way back to Brooklyn. This ride will take us mostly on greenways; there may be a few busy streets, so please be comfortable. We will be passing Jamaica Bay Wildlife Reserve, heading into Broad Channel (lunch will be at our favorite deli at the end of Broad Channel), up and over the Cross Bay Bridge, and into Rockaway Beach—heading down the boardwalk to the very end, enjoying the views and waving to the surfers as we pedal along.
This will be a moderate-paced ride. All members are welcome—especially our new members!
Please bring all bikey stuff, and a helmet is required on all 5BBC rides.
Always check the website before leaving for the ride in case Mother poops on our fun day.
