Rufus King Park- New York's Famous Constitution Writer
About this event

King Rufus played a pivotal role in shaping the U.S. Constitution and in the movement to abolish slavery. After lunch at Dominick’s Pizza, we’ll tour one of his historic homes. in Jamaica Queens at Rufus King Park. The entrance is on Jamaica Ave at the corner of 153 Street. For larger groups, a suggested donation of $1 is appreciated.
Inside is a very nice historic home. Heating was different in the time this house was built and air conditioning was not invented yet. Some other interesting things can be seen. After the tour we will return to Grand Army Plaza. There is a mild hill at the return to Grand Army Plaza. The rest of this ride is relatively flat.
Please have your bike in good working order, bring a spare tube, plenty water, sunscreen, any tools needed for tube replacement for your bike, and always wear your helmet.
