Starting from Matawan NJ we will ride on bike trails to Sandy Hook with its waterfront paths, beaches, and iconic lighthouse. Swimming is optional. After lunch in Sea Bright we will have more waterfront riding to our finish in Long Branch.

With the NJ Transit app, buy your outbound ticket from New York Penn Station to Aberdeen-Matawan and return ticket from Long Branch.

Meet us at 7:30 AM inside the NJT ticket holders waiting room on the NE corner of 8th Ave & 31st St. Do not go to the old NJT waiting room on 7th Ave. Train is scheduled to depart at 7:53 and arrive at Aberdeen-Matawan 9:01.

Usual 5BBC guidelines apply. Stay between the leader and the sweep, keep single file, and call out stopping and hazards. Helmets are required on all 5BBC rides and you should carry a spare tube, water, and sunscreen. A bungee will help secure your bike on the train. Bring a swimsuit if you plan to go in the water.

Check your email before setting out. You will be notified of any ride changes by 6:00 AM on ride day.
