Riding and Rocking to Rock Hall - Lawrence Long Island's Oldest Mansion
About this event

Join us as we ride out to the Rockaway Boardwalk to Lawrence, Long Island - one of the "Five Towns" located in Nassau County on the South Shore of Long Island, the others are Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Inwood, and Hewlett. We will pick up lunch at a deli along the way, and we will have a picnic at the beautiful, historical ROCK HALL MUSEUM.
This is a colonial house that was owned by a Tory 'til it was taken over by the Patriots during the Revolution. The beautiful property had llamas in a pen and free-roaming chickens, maybe we will be lucky and see them there. We will also stop at Mara's to enjoy a delicious sweet treat, ice cream with an abundance of yummy flavors to choose from. A fun time not to be missed!
This is a Moderate-lite ride; please keep a pace of 12 mph on the greenways, and you must be comfortable riding over the Addabbo Bridge, Crossbay Bridge, and Marine Park Bridge.
