Bronx Parks and a Haunted Mansion
About this event

Join us as we ride into The Bronx. We start at Columbus Circle and ride through Randall's Island and the South Bronx before hitting two amazing small parks along the Bronx River - Concrete Plant Park and Starlight Park. Lunch will be in Little Italy at the Arthur Avenue Market. After lunch we visit the Shuttleworth Mansion, built in 1896 by Edwin Shuttleworth, a stonedealer. At that time, Mount Hope was a prosperous suburb. We cross back into Manhattan by the Macombs Damn Bridge, and south back to Central Park.
This is a 19 mile ride with 650 feet of elevation. Steepest grade is 6.5%. Make sure you are comfortable riding in traffic. Bring a good lock, cash for lunch, spare tubes and usual bike stuff.
There will be a ten minute grace period. Plan accordingly.
