Join us for a hilly, scenic ride in Central New Jersey. This ride has not been done for a couple of years and has not been led previously by the Leaders, so there might be a couple of whoopsies.

This is an Advanced ride (15-17 mph on the flats) with no real bailouts, so if you are not comfortable with that pace, this ride is not for you.  There are a number of hills, which we will tackle at our individual pace and then regroup at the top.  There are no Walnuts or Churchills on this ride, but you should be adept at shifting gears.

We will meet at 9:30 AM for this 43 mile ride at the New Jersey Transit train station in Madison. There is an 8:11 AM train out of NY Penn Station that arrives in Madison at 9:19 AM. Daylight disappears earlier in late September, so bring front and rear lights to be on the safe side.  

Lunch will be at the halfway point of the ride.  There are a couple of options.

We are limiting capacity to 12 people so we can ride as a group with no point-drop-sweep.

Please bring a bike in good working condition. Make sure your tires are properly inflated before heading from home. Bring a spare tube, a helmet, sunscreen, at least one water bottle and snacks to keep you fortified before we reach our lunch spot.

Finally, bring a light lock in case we have to lock bikes at lunch.
