Come join us for a 5BBC half century scenic ride out to Montauk. We meet around 10:00 at the LIRR Hampton Bays train station. For those coming out via the train, the schedules were modified and one scheduled to arrive at 10:02.  For those driving to the start, there is plenty of free parking by the Hampton Bays train station.

The ride will be 50/55 scenic miles with some absolutely gorgeous views and some special spots. Final mileage will be a game time decision based upon our progress.

The goal is to get to Montauk in time for a quick stop at the Montauk brewery before heading up to the Montauk train station with sufficient time to buy tickets and catch the 3:16 train (either back to Hampton Bays to cars or back to the City - the 5:19 is our backup).

In addition to being scenic, much of the ride is fairly flat other than the rolling hills on old Montauk Highway by Hither Hills, where you have incredible views out towards the ocean at the crests of some hills.

Ride is listed as Advanced, as we hope to make the 3:16 train, but at times we will be making scenic stops and riding at a touring pace at times to enjoy the sights.

Please bring food and snacks for along the way. There isn’t time for a formal sit down lunch stop, but we will take a brief food break at Georgica beach. Please also bring a bungee cord to hold your bike on the train along with plenty of hydration and money for the train and any other purchases. Most importantly bring an upbeat positive attitude ready to discover and explore.
