Bridges of Ulster County

We're heading up north to Ulster County and will ride 4 historic bridges: Springtown Truss Bridge in New Paltz, Rosendale Trestle, Perrine's Bridge (2nd oldest covered bridge in NY), and of course the one and only Walkway Over the Hudson.
Ride distance is 40 miles and elevation gain is a moderate 1350 ft. The route includes 8 miles of crushed stone and hardpack trail that should be acceptable to most cyclists but there could be a few muddy spots.
Ride capacity is limited due to Metro North restrictions.
If you're taking the train from Grand Central: Take the 7:39 to Poughkeepsie. Buy your ticket in advance with the MTA TrainTime app. Do not wait in the waiting room. Go directly to the platform, get on the train, and find a place for you and your bike.
If you're driving to Poughkeepsie or have another way of getting there: Meet us at the station at 9:38.
Lunch is at a restaurant in Rosendale.
Helmets are required on all 5BBC rides. A bungee will help secure your bike on the train.
