The forecast for Monday is summer like, so let’s hope the forecast is right and do a summer like ride near the water and by some beaches. Might be a day to play hooky. The ride meets at the Patchogue LIRR train station. A train from the City is scheduled to arrive at 10:08. If driving, there is lots of free on street parking a few blocks south of the train station. The ride heads out from Patchogue along the mostly flat south shore to Osprey Point with water views and some interesting backroads along the way.

Ride is about 42-44 miles, which will be at the higher end of moderate. We hope to ride as a group for most of the ride. Given the forecast, we will stop for a bite at Osprey Point. Please bring a picnic lunch for the stop. There might be an option to buy something in Bellport, but better to bring a sandwich from home.
