About this event
Join us for a curated never done before ride from Queens College to Long Island City. We will ride through Flushing Meadow Park, over the KZ Bridge, go Greenpoint Driggs
and Franklin Avenues before crossing the Pulaski Bridge to LIC. Great views going north on the LIC waterfront paths through South Hunters Point and Gantry Parks. Loopback is through Forest Park and we have to negotiate the Hoover Hill on the return to QC.
Food options: Empanadas Cafe, Food Cellars (lunch), Nita's Romanian Bakery. You tell me if you want nosh an empanada or post lunch Romanian savarin (Nita coffee $1.25).
Moderate Ride metrics: 30 miles urban riding speed of 10-12 miles, 1K feet elevation, roads are 75% paved city bike lanes, 25% park greenways.
Plenty of street parking at start, if you drive!
