Getting to Ganesh - Spring Edition
About this event

In the Hindu tradition, Ganesh is the remover of all obstacles. This sounds like something all cyclists can use. The ride leaves from Grand Army Plaza and winds its way up through Brooklyn and Queens. We will do a turn around pretty Kissena Pond before we hit the Ganesh Temple. Lunch will be in the Temple Canteen for delicious South Indian vegetarian food. After lunch, we will remove our shoes and visit the beautiful temple. Heading home, we will go along the Flushing Marina for some nice waterfront views before crossing back into Brooklyn.
This is a 30 mile ride with 700 feet of elevation. Ride will be at a moderate pace. Please take a sturdy lock as there will be on street parking. If you intend on visiting the Temple, and you should, please do not wear shorts as it would be considered disrespectful.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: If you are unable to attend the ride, please 'unregister' so that those on the waitlist can move up and take the slot.
