Canarsie used to be the term for "The End of the World." A neighborhood removed. In fact, it is a relatively easy and interesting bike ride to get there. We will take a rather rambling course heading out, including a favorite street, Varkens Hook Road. We'll go through scenic Canarsie Park and hit Canarsie Pier as well. We head back home along the Shore Trail. Lunch stop will be at cycle friendly Roll n Roaster.

This is a 25 mile road on paved surfaces. Relatively flat with elevation gain of 400 feet. Ride will be done at a moderate pace. Bring a lock as bike parking is outside - but within eyeshot.
