About this event
This happy-face ride to the Boogie Down Bronx will showcase several recent improvements to the Bronx River Greenway. Garrison Park in Hunts Point is now connected to Concrete Plant Park via a tunnel under the Bruckner Expressway. Starlight Park has new pedestrian bridges that allow car-free passage from Westchester Ave to East 177th St. Protected lanes have improved bicycle safety along East 233rd St and Webster Ave.
Starting in Manhattan at Carl Schurz Park (NE corner of 84th St and East End Ave), our ride includes Randall's Island, a new protected lane on Bruckner Blvd, and the Bronx River Greenway with its string of parks along the Bronx River. We finish in Van Cortlandt Park at the #1 subway terminal. Lunch in Kingsbridge or Riverdale is a post-ride option.
