Bicycle Sunday on the Bronx River Parkway

 

Yes, Parkway. You read that right!

 

It's a Westchester tradition. The Bronx River Parkway, 6.5 miles from Scarsdale Rd in Yonkers to the Westchester County Center in White Plains, will be closed to cars and open to bicycles. Whoopee! 

 

Meet at 9:30 in Van Cortlandt Park, 242nd St & Broadway, 1 block south of the rest rooms. We will ride together on roads and greenways but you're free to go at your own pace on the parkway. Lunch in Hartsdale; bring your own or buy at a deli or bakery in town. Total ride distance with return to Van Cortlandt is 30 miles.
