O Winter Solstice...

We welcome thee with an equally crisp ride before we are beset upon by the shortest day of the year. Join us for a quick jaunt to Cafe Rx. Far enough out of the city, yet close enough to beat the setting sun. 

We will meet in front of the Marine Monument on 59th Street, Columbus Circle. A 28-mile round-trip at an advanced pace (15 mph on the flats) to Cresskill, NJ follows. The restrooms and lunch break will be at the cafe at mile 16.6. The total elevation gain is estimated to be 1,646.

Rain or very cold temps at the start cancel. Check your email and the club’s website before heading out. Make certain your bike is in good working order and bring the familiar essentials to keep you going: spare tube(s) and tools to fix a flat; a helmet (required); and enough snacks and beverages to fortify you throughout the ride.
