New Bridge Landing is the site of a bridge over the Hackensack River where General George Washington led his troops in retreat from British forces in November 1776. The town of New Bridge dates from the 1600's. The current bridge at this site was installed in 1889.

Our ride to New Bridge Landing meets 10:00 AM at Dinosaur Playground, 97th St & Riverside Drive. Distance is 32 miles and pace is moderate. Lunch will be at Cafe Rx in Cresskill. The ride ends at the NY end of the GWB.

You should be comfortable riding in a group. Usual 5BBC guidelines apply: stay between the leader and the sweep, keep single file, and call out stopping and hazards. Helmets are required on all 5BBC rides and you should carry a spare tube and water.
